Training

Only suitably trained and qualified personnel, can use the LIVETAP ® drilling System and associated product range. Specialist contractors need to attend a one day competency training course at a Project Fire approved Training Facility to become certificated.

This training is provided only by Project Fire Approved Trainers and consists of practical demonstrations & exercises along with a written test. It also includes the physical use of the LIVETAP® Drill, including the correct procedures for completion of all the necessary documentation. Training is undertaken on a ratio of 1 instructor to 2 trainees, reflecting the high levels of

Trainees are assessed both on their performance of practical exercises and by written test, only those achieving an acceptable standard in both will be certified.

Training program

8.30-9.00 am Induction
Fire procedures, toilets, welfare facilities etc: tea/coffee

9.00 am Theory

Formal opening, video presentation
Equipment & assembly of parts video and health & safety

9.15~

Before commencement of the training, advise of the five applications of the livetap drilling process.

The training the delegate receives is dependent on their prefered prefernce as they have advised on the invitation for training form 10.00 am Practical - part i
Mechanical demonstration on the parts and product of the preferred application followed by practical use of the equipment and carrying out the live tap drilling process.

The training officer will then carry out an on going assessment of the trainee carrying out a livetap drilling process. 12.30 pm Lunch (supplied by p.f.e)

1.00 pm Practical - part 2
Mechanical demonstration on the parts and product of the next preferred application followed by practical use of the equipment and carrying out the Live tap drilling process.

The training officer will then carry out an on going assessment of the trainee carrying out a livetap drilling process.

3.30 pm Summary and written test
Any final questions will be answered before the trainee will under take a written multi choice test based on theory and practical training given.

4.00 pm Close off
Advise the result of the training and the next steps to be taken. Candidate fill in training feedback form
