Operator Training
Operator training uses a combination of classroom teaching, hands on learning and practical drilling sessions. On arrival you will be issued with the Livetap ‘user guide’ which includes comprehensive step-by-step instructions to assist you in familiarising yourself with the drill, tools and fittings.
Competency will be determined by means of a practical examination where you will carry out a live drill in front of a Livetap training officer.
On the course you will:
• learn about the fittings and their applications
• become confident using Livetap® tools
• perform a ‘dry-cut’
• drill into a pressurised water main and fit actual fittings
• drill using the automated drill kit
Trainer Training*
Trainer Training involves a blend of hands on and presentation based tasks. The tasks are designed for you to further your understanding of Livetap® and develop your communication skills. Your Livetap® training officer will provide constructive feedback for you throughout the course of the day and analyse your competency to train others to use Livetap®.
Competency will be determined by means of a short presentation performed before the Livetap® training officer and based on your performance throughout the day’s tasks.
On the course you will:
• learn how to teach others to become Livetap operators
• learn valuable communication and training skills
• receive individual feedback from a friendly Livetap training officer
*The ‘trainer training’ can be completed only after the successful completion of the ‘operator training’.
After Your Training
Upon successful completion of the ‘operator training‘ course you will be issued with a training certificate and ID card confirming your Livetap® qualification. At this stage you will be fully qualified to carry out Livetap® modifications on site.
Upon successful completion of the ‘trainer training‘ course you will be issued with a training certificate and ID card confirming your Livetap® qualification. At this stage you will be fully qualified to train others to use Livetap®.
