The LIVETAP® Underpressure Drilling concept has been developed to address the issues that arise when planning and implementing modifications and additions to existing sprinkler systems, and modifying existing sprinkler head locations.

  1. OneThe new No Drain-T connector is first installed in a suitable location on an existing fire sprinkler main. Livetap
  2. TwoOn completion of a successful test, the pressure is reduced in line with the working pressure of the existing system, and the LIVETAP ® drill is connected to the No Drain-T 50 mm valve. Livetap
  3. ThreeThe pipe work is filled and a pressure test undertaken, the pressure is the released from the system.Livetap
  4. Four The LIVETAP ® drill is fed through the No Drain-T by means of operating a simple hand operated ratchet drive, which feeds the drill into the existing fire main in a matter of minutes. The drill is now withdrawn, metal coupon removed by means of special Drill Magnet Application. Livetap
